Learning is something you DO.
Learn by doing—cutting, stitching, recording, painting, editing, wiring, printing, building.... The Maker Program is a core part of how students learn at LightHouse. It’s hands-on, project-based, and rooted in real skills. Students work in professional-grade spaces with guidance from experienced mentors. Every day, young people at LightHouse build, create, repair, design, and explore.
Projects often begin with a question or idea and take shape through trial, iteration, and hands-on exploration. Students work alongside peers and mentors, sharing ideas, solving problems, and giving and receiving feedback. Revision is expected. Guidance is built in.
The work is creative and technical, grounded in curiosity, purpose, and a growing pride in workmanship.
