Entering Virtual Reality

By // April 22, 2020

You’ve probably heard the news…
The state of Massachusetts has decided to keep schools closed for the remainder of this school year :(

Of course this is not a decision anyone has made lightly, and not what anyone wants. We wish it were otherwise!

LightHouse will continue online, of course, and learning goes on! We will continue to maintain our connections with you all, and increase where possible.

Graduation will happen! Just maybe not on June 12. But whether it’s July or August- as soon as we are able to gather safely, we will. And what a beautiful day that will be.

Let’s continue to use this time to its fullest. The world does not often come to a near halt. That’s an understatement, right? Never before in any of our lifetimes have we been delivered such a rare and double-edged gift in such quantity- time.

Hopefully, it will never happen again. While it’s here, let’s use it well! Together!
This is Week is Vacation Week

The photo at the top is a screen shot from an example CoSpace Virtual Art Show. Let’s make one! Check out their demo here: https://edu.cospaces.io/RJN-SZR

Can we get it together and make it happen for Tuesday, May 5? That’s 2 weeks from yesterday.
Calling all students with an interest in making the Art Show happen in a virtual world And all artists who would like to sell their work. Guests can view your work in the virtual world and then we can mail it to them in the real world!
Also space for video and audio performances… anything we want! There is unlimited space in Virtual Reality.
Also especially seeking students with skills in Minecraft and other similar programs. We need your help! Please connect with Epi at [email protected]
We’re in this together. Please be in touch anytime.
