Images need to be visually arresting in today’s ever-scrolling world. How can we make images that get people to STOP and look?
In this class we will: learn how to use a DSLR camera and professional-level editing software; learn to analyze images and be able to identify what makes an image the right one for a particular use; and we will practice different photo techniques that suit different subjects or purposes. We will also pop open the hood of common social media platforms and examine how they work, how they can serve us (and how they don’t), and understand more about what a photo is really competing against for attention out there on the FYP. De La Luz Soundstage is a partner in this endeavor.
No experience is required; bring your own camera, or we can find you one to borrow.
